IPHA invites...

collaboration with researchers in neuroscience, developmental psychology, and attachment theory to pioneer the first-of-its-kind investigation into the interconnected mechanisms of swallowed air in the infant’s body and the innate cues these form - namely our Six-Wind-Cues.

This paradigm offers...

a unique lens into early neurobiological regulation, caregiver-infant attunement, and embodied communication during the critical first year of postnatal life.

we are therefore...

particularly interested in partnerships that can empirically explore how these cues contribute to neurological advancement, co-regulation processes, and secure attachment formation for our hope of strengthening evidenced-based pathways for postnatal education and clinical care.

You can either...

engage with us for the purpose of research only or enter a dual approach by joining us in the delivery and exploration of our postnatal Bio-logical Care Program and research studies. We are also open to discussing suitably aligned exclusive partnerships.

INTRODUCING

BABY'S SIX-WIND-CUES

advancing our understanding of early physiological signals - air's innate contribution

our bio-logical care program

Bio-logical Care is a methodology that integrates sensory-informed support and strategies that align to early observational assessments of infant behaviour, and their natural physiological development.

We deliver this intimate, natural model of care within a ready-to-implement, community-based preventative intervention program designed to provide postnatal and infant care education to pregnant and postpartum parents during the first year of their infant’s life.

This involves sharing basic knowledge on an infant's early digestive capabilities and teaching care practices that cohesively nurture this development. A part of that nurturing includes identifying and responding to the newborn’s distinct Six Wind-Cues which is achieved through our ten-step method of responsive burping, calming and observing, known as Nature’s Wind Sequence. All of this, and more is employed to promote digestive regulation and comfort through non-invasive, developmentally supportive interventions.

Our program also focuses on, and has proven to, naturally heal the common early-life digestive and regulatory challenges of Digestive Overload - the biological cause of colic, gastroesophageal reflux (including silent reflux), the witching hour and a number of feeding-related sensitivities like lactose and dairy overload. We do this by integrating informed understanding, multi-sensory responses, relationship attunement, and evidence-based solutions tailored for the parent-infant dyad.

Parent's Perspective

"Your knowledge needs to be worldwide! I wish I had known all this with my first son. This holistic approach helps so much more than most medical professionals!"

"I highly recommend this. I seemed to learn about everything to do with pregnancy, but nothing about my baby's digestive system and cues. So important!"

"The biggest win of NWS is that Jake literally falls asleep with no effort from us. If he's wriggling, we know it's a burp or fart and we know what to do, and once we get it, he's out like a light."

Nature's Wind Sequence

This ten-step burping method is made up of calming techniques, positions and responding to baby's Six-Wind-Cues and other body language in best timing to aid baby's comfort and the release of trapped air in the stomach. This fosters a deep bond based on conscious recognition and response, so nurturing baby's nervous system whilst developing a unified intimacy beyond measure.

Given the nature of burping an infant, this video only captures a small portion of NWS.
